The semiconductor (gallium nitride) used in GC PowerGaN makes the charger use energy efficiently (does not heat up significantly) making it greener and safer than traditional chargers.

Why exactly GaN?
When designing the loader, we wanted it to be as safe, small and lightweight as possible. Looking for suitable technologies, we decided to use gallium nitride (GaN). This technology is characterized by a much higher thermal efficiency which allowed the components to be arranged much closer together. As a result, the device is significantly smaller than other chargers of similar power, while offering higher safety of use.
