Alpina storage containers are made of durable borosilicate glass that can be easily placed in the freezer, dishwasher, microwave and even the oven. This type of glass is stronger than ordinary glass, has a higher melting point and is therefore resistant to high temperatures. That's why many oven dishes are also made of borosilicate glass. Glass expands less when heated, but also shrinks less when cooled. As a result, the ovenware can withstand minimum temperatures of -40 degrees and maximum temperatures of 300 degrees. In addition, this type of glass is also scratch resistant, can withstand impact and is lighter than ordinary glass. Thanks to durable borosilicate glass, Alpina food containers are both heat and cold resistant.
When heating, make sure not to put the lid in the oven. Each food container in the Alpina 6-piece set is completely airtight, so food can be stored longer. When storing hot food in containers, you can open the ventilation flap on the lid. In this way, the steam and heat generated by the food can escape.
